This clarinet in C (do) is a reproduction of George Miller, original of which is housed in the Bate collection of Oxford University. George Miller was an English woodwind instrument maker who established a workshop on Wych Street, London c 1765 - 1790.
It is for any music by Mozart, early Beethoven, Haydn, the Stamitz family and other composers of the 18th-century, where the extended range of basset-clarinet is not need.
This 5-key clarinet has a speaker key, throat A key, Ab/Eb key, F#/C# key, and E/B key.
Both key-cup designs, 18th-century-box-shape and 19th-century-round-shape are available. It is tuned in A=440 Hz but can be played with change of barrel in A=430 Hz.
This clarinet comes with 2 barrels, case, extra set of pads, extra reed mouthpiece, cap and ligature, cleaning cloth, carrying belt which can be hooked to the thumb rest and a fingering chart..
The body is made of Indian Cocobolo wood with imitation Ivory protection rings.
