This D Clarinet is reimagining of a George Miller clarinet from 1770, in Re, with 5 keys; original of which is with the Bate Collection of Oxford University. 

It has a much brighter sound, which made it refer to as a “Mock trumpet” as well, and was used like a trumpet in pieces.

Pitched in A=430 and the modern tuning of A=440

It has 8 finger holes and 5 brass keys (register, throat A, Ab/Eb, F#/C#, and E/B ) for composers of the 18th Century.

Composers: Vivaldi, Telemann, Handel, concerts of Molter, operas of Rameau

The body is made of Indian Cocobolo wood with imitation Ivory rings.

Comes with case, extra set of pads, extra reed and accessories.
