This is a reproduction model of the only Palanca flute known with a tuning slide head (Quantz/Kirst style). Carlos Palanca - Turino, Italy - One of the finest examples of 18th-Century Italian flute making. 

It plays A=440 Hz, by opening up the slide it plays down to A=430 Hz. It plays A=415 Hz with other middle joint as it comes with 2 middle joints. 

With excellent playing qualities, perfect embouchure hole, this flute is made of Indian Cocobolo wood. Easy to maintain and does not require the care of Grenadilla wood. The wood is protected by imitation Ivory rings to provide a classic touch that replicates the timeless elegance of genuine Ivory.
