This Eb Horn, a masterpiece, is a reproduction of an original Boosey & Co, London. It transposes to F from Eb with its F crook-tuning slide, making it adaptable for both orchestras and concert bands to play French horn parts.

It has a round coil shape like a French horn with a rear-facing bell but is played with the right hand on piston valves, with the bell pointing to the rear left of the player, unlike the French horn. It is utilised as an alto voice both outdoors and indoors in marching bands, drum and bugle corps, community and school bands, serving as a substitute for the French horn.

Weighing 3.6 lbs with a bell diameter of 23.3 cm, it comes with a horn mouthpiece featuring a cup diameter of 18.5mm. With same old copper-alloy Nickel-Silver valves, it is housed in a handcrafted plush linedwooden case reminiscent of the old times and includes a lyre (music card holder).

The bare-brass finish, without any coating like in the old days, is convenient for players, allowing them to clean it with brass polish, keeping it brand new each time.
