The 5-key Bb clarinet is for playing 18th-century music such as Mozart's Kegelstatt Trio for clarinet, viola, and piano K. 498, and the clarinet parts in the Gran Partita K. 361.

In addition to Mozart's celebrated works, it can beautifully interpret any music by other composers where the extended range down to low C of a basset clarinet is not needed.

This clarinet in Bb (sib) is a reimagining of a Londoner maker Thomas Key, original of which is housed in the Bate collection of Oxford University.

This 5-key clarinet has a speaker key, throat A key,  Ab/Eb key, F#/C# key, E/B key and an added sixth throat trill key.

  • Crafted from Indian Cocobolo wood with imitation Ivory protection rings, the body of the clarinet boasts durability and aesthetic appeal. The keys are casted from brass, steel springs with best suitable pads.
  • Equipped with two barrels for A440 and A430 tuning.
  • It is designed to be used with a standard Bb clarinet mouthpiece. The barrel receiver is tailored for modern Bb mouthpieces, including the Vandoren B40 and B45.
  • Additionally, accessories such as a plush lined protective case, extra set of pads, cleaning cloth, and a carrying strap are provided.
