This is a reproduction model of the only Palanca flute known with a tuning slide head (Quantz/Kirst style). Carlos Palanca - Turino, Italy - One of the finest examples of 18th-Century Italian flute making.
It plays A=440 Hz, by opening up the slide it plays down to A=430 Hz. It plays A=415 Hz with other middle joint as it comes with 2 middle joints.
With excellent playing qualities, perfect embouchure hole, this flute is made of Grenadilla wood. The wood is protected by imitation Ivory rings to provide a classic touch that replicates the timeless elegance of genuine Ivory.
